Re-Roof: Multi-family Structure
Three-story beachfront re-roofing of a multi-family structure. Logistical and operational challenges were met successfully.
The Halco Roofing Team undertook this complex re-roofing project on A1A in Brevard County, FL. Day-to-day resident operations were minimally impacted. We used rough-terrain forklifts with the weight capacity and reach to move personnel, equipment, and roofing materials safely to and from the top of the three-story building. Onshore winds as well as the three-story elevation mandated extensive use of safety gear and precautions to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property.
Property access from busy AIA was limited, and because of safety concerns due to regular material deliveries, we opted to use a rental storage facility temporarily installed on site. We also used high-capacity dumpsters for disposal of the old roof.
Re-Roof: Stand-alone Home
3,000 sq. ft. shingle re-roof. Project completed on time, with superior workmanship and materials, and within budget.
This client was referred to us after another contractor accepted deposit moneys but was unable to perform the work. We received the deposit and immediately filed a Notice of Commencement, pulled the permit, and began the job. We finished the work in three days.
- Day One: Stripped the old roofing and installed the dry-in.
- Day Two: Dry-in inspected and shingles delivered.
- Day Three: Shingles installed.
- Day Four: Inspection - passed.
The client was so pleased with the quality and pace of the roofing work that she referred another customer to us, and the referral has contracted us for their roofing project.
Full Roof Conversion
1,600 sq. ft. metal roof to replace an old shingle roof. Superior quality roofing than our competitors at the same price.
This customer was referred to us by the Chamber of Commerce. The customer had already received bids, however they were for lesser quality 5V Crimp 26 gauge panels with exposed fasteners. We offered thicker, higher-quality 24 gauge panels with standing seam. Standing seam is an upgrade in longevity and looks, and features concealed fasteners.
The project called for complete removal of the old shingles and roofing materials. While that part of the project was underway, the custom roof panels were ordered and fabricated. After the dry-in was inspected and approved, the heavy duty 24 gauge panels were delivered and installed. The project took just under two weeks from receipt of deposit to final inspection.

We are members of Home Builders and Contractors of Brevard (HBCA) and Melbourne Regional Chamber. Company founder James Halas holds the title of Builder Director at the HBCA.

To offer our customers a large product choice, our suppliers include Jones Lumber, ABC Roofing Supply, Sunniland Roofing Supply, Coastal Roofing Supply, and Gulf Eagle Supply. Shingle material manufacturers include GAF, Owens Corning, Atlas, and Tamco. Our roofing tile offerings come from American Eagle and Boral.
